About This Activity
COGkids programming is designed to get kids with autism out riding their bikes. COGkids introduces mountain biking in a calm and encouraging environment that supports the development of bike skills and self-confidence and provides an opportunity to connect with peers and nature. Riders will have the opportunity to learn and practice skills with professional instruction and apply these new skills / techniques on a variety of awesome trails at a pace that’s comfortable to them. Requirements: Bike with 20" wheels, hand brakes & gears Minimum biking abilities – Youth skill level 2 (see Endless Biking SKILL LEVELSfor details) If your child has sensory sensitivities or needs that may need to be addressed, please let us know so we can ensure a positive experience. We recognize that predictability is also important so all sessions will include a review of the schedule and expectations prior to starting the ride. We welcome verbal, minimally verbal and non-speaking kids.
