About This Activity
COGkids programming is designed to get kids with autism out riding their bikes. COGkids introduces mountain biking in a calm and encouraging environment that supports the development of bike skills and self-confidence and provides an opportunity to connect with peers and nature. Riders will have the opportunity to learn and practice skills with professional instruction and apply these new skills / techniques on a variety of awesome trails at a pace that’s comfortable to them. Minimum Requirements: Youth Skill Level 2 Youth Fitness Level 2 20' inch wheels or larger Hand brakes Range of gears If your child has sensory sensitivities or needs that may need to be addressed, please let us know so we can ensure a positive experience. We recognize that predictability is also important so all sessions will include a review of the schedule and expectations prior to starting the ride. We welcome verbal, minimally verbal and non-speaking kids.
