Fashion Lab: Upcycle & Design Summer Mini Camp Instructor: Mila Pershyna June 30 - July 2 Days: Monday - Wednesday Time: 9:30 am - 12:00 pm 5 days (M) $120; (NM) $132 (This price includes all materials) In-person at the Art House / Max of 10 students Join us for a dynamic 3-day Upcycling Fashion Workshop, guided by a professional fashion designer, where creativity meets sustainability! This hands-on workshop empowers young designers to repurpose old garments or create entirely new designs. Whether you're a beginner or already have sewing skills, everyone will learn something new, including essential techniques such as reading and cutting patterns, understanding textiles, sewing techniques, and fabric manipulation. Participants are encouraged to bring items they wish to upcycle—whether it’s an old pair of jeans, a t-shirt, or any garment ready for transformation. For those who prefer starting fresh, you can bring a favorite fabric or pattern to work on; however, basic patterns and fabrics will also be provided. This workshop focuses on individuality and self-expression, allowing each participant to create unique pieces while exploring the exciting world of fashion design. By the end of the workshop, students will leave with their own completed project and the skills to continue designing at home. Let your creativity shine in this inspiring summer camp! All supplies and fabric are provided. Bring your own if preferred. Now is a great time to stock up on fabric at JoAnn Fabrics as they are going out of business.
