Upcycle and Design Fashion Lab Workshop for ages 13-17 Instructor: Mila Pershyna September 21 Day: Sunday Time: 11:00 AM – 1:30 PM 1-day workshop: (M) $42; (NM) $46 Material fee: $5 payable to the instructor on the day of the workshop This one-day workshop invites creative teens to explore the intersection of fashion, art, and sustainability. Led by a professional fashion designer, this hands-on experience empowers students to reimagine and transform pre-worn garments into innovative, personalized designs. In addition to foundational fashion techniques—such as garment deconstruction, fabric manipulation, hand sewing, and textile exploration—participants will have the opportunity to incorporate surface design through painting, fabric markers, and stencil work. Students may use pre-made stencils or create their own to add custom graphics, patterns, or artistic elements to their garments.
