About This Activity
Description
A 45 minute gymnastics and early movement education class for children ages 12-23 months accompanied by an adult. Emphasis on movement exploration, parent-toddler bonding, and socialization with other children of the same age. If you are interested in meeting families with toddlers, this is the class for you! We are building community while promoting movement and play.
General Class Structure:
- warm-up, circle time
- obstacle courses
- tumble trak, trampoline
- parachute, bubbles
Summer Morning Activity Notice: Please be aware that Novato Gymnastics will be hosting weekly camps alongside our regular classes. This means there will be increased activity in the gym, particularly in the mornings (M-F) when campers are on-site. While the gym will be busier than during the school year, it’s all part of the excitement and energy that summer brings! When you arrive, please find cubbies located near the lobby restrooms.
No Classes: Thursday, June 19 (Juneteenth) and Monday, June 30 through Saturday, July 5 (Week of the Fourth of July).
Location: Novato Gymnastics Center located at 950 7th Street in downtown Novato.
Upcoming Roof Construction: Please be aware that roof construction will be taking place soon at our facility! While we are doing our best to minimize interruptions, you may experience construction-related noise and occasional disruptions. Novato Parks, Recreation & Community Services Staff will stay in close communication with all program participants and families as this project progresses. We appreciate your understanding and patience. We're thrilled to have this important capital improvement project scheduled!
Adult Participation Required: Participation limited to ONE Adult. We require one adult to participate per child. An exception can be made for siblings, in which case we will allow one adult for up to two children.
What to Wear: Gymnastics style leotards recommended. Alternatively, participants may wear comfortable athletic style clothing like leggings or shorts and a tight-fitting t-shirt. Torso/midriff must be covered. Gymnastics apparel available for purchase at the Novato Gymnastics Center M-Th from 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM, or shop online through our virtual store (novatogymnastics.org/store).
Stay Home When Sick: If your child is sick, we kindly ask that you keep them home. Participants exhibiting cold or flu-like symptoms will not be allowed to participate. Staff reserve the right to accept or decline participants based on their assessment and discretion of any apparent signs or symptoms of illness. Thank you for your understanding.
No Make-Up Classes or Refunds for Missed Classes: The Novato Gymnastics Center does not offer make-ups, pro-rated reimbursements, or similar for missed days. Thank you for your understanding.
Class Cancellations: Cancellations are subject to a $13.00 processing fee and prorated reimbursement. No exceptions.
