Join Katia and Company for this hit Broadway musical. Based on the real-life Newsboy Strike of 1899, this new Disney musical tells the story of Jack Kelly, a rebellious newsboy who dreams of a life as an artist away from the big city. After publishing giant Joseph Pulitzer raises newspaper prices at the newsboys' expense, Kelly and his fellow newsies take action. Filled with great musical numbers and show stopping dance numbers, this is one you won't want to miss.Theater experience is preferred but not required. All registered participants receive a role in the production, based on auditions. To audition, please prepare a 16-bar song from an upbeat musical. Bring sheet music marked for your cut and key.
Auditions: Monday, March 11
Callbacks: Thursday, March 14
Rehearsals: Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays
Tech/Performance Weeks: May 19 - June 2 at the Playhouse in San Anselmo
Face Coverings Optional: Face coverings are no longer required for participants or staff.
Refunds or Make-Up Classes: Once the program begins, no refunds will be given. This program does not offer make-ups, pro-rated reimbursements, or similar for missed days. Thank you for your understanding.
Cancellations: Cancellations must be requested by no later than the first meeting date of the program. Refunds after that time will not be accommodated. Cancellations are subject to a $13.00 processing fee. No exceptions.
