Blue Stars is a 55 min. class for children with a beginning level of gymnastics experience. No prior experience required. Classes focus on foundational gymnastics skills, physical fitness, movement confidence, and fun! While gymnastics is the primary focus of the class, attention is placed on skills needed for school and overall sports preparedness. This class will provide your child with lots of opportunities to run, jump, spin, climb and go upside down.In Blue Stars, your child will learn:
- forward/backward rolls, cartwheels, and handstands
- basic bar skills such as front support, forward roll dismount and casting
- balance positions and basic walks on beam
- trampoline safety
No Class Wednesday, April 10.
What to Wear: We recommend that participants wear gymnastics style leotards or comfortable athletic style clothing like leggings/shorts and a tight fitting t-shirt.
Stay Home When Sick: If your child is sick, we kindly ask that you keep them home. Participants exhibiting cold or flu-like symptoms will not be allowed to participate. Staff reserve the right to accept or decline participants based on their assessment and discretion of any apparent signs or symptoms of illness. Thank you for your understanding.
No Make-Up Classes or Refunds for missed classes. The Novato Gymnastics Center does not offer make-ups, pro-rated reimbursements, or similar for missed days. Thank you for your understanding.
Class Cancellations: Cancellations are subject to a $13.00 processing fee and prorated reimbursement. No exceptions.
No Classes: No class Wednesday, April 10. Please refer to our calendar online at www.novatogymnastics.org for no class dates and general program reminders.
