Class Description:
Soccer Stars' Shine Program uses soccer as a vehicle to teach life skills to players of all abilities including individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities such as (but not limited to), Autism Spectrum Disorders, Down Syndrome, ADHD and PDD-NOS.Class Format:Each class starts with attendance, followed by a Soccer Stars song or cheer based on the class's age. Classes include a warm-up, individual skill activities, a stretch break, and group or solo skill exercises. All activities are age-appropriate, theme-based, and designed to build confidence while having fun. Younger classes focus on full-body movements, balance, and coordination.
Class Participation: An adult is REQUIRED to stay for the duration of the class and be responsible for their child.
No Class November 28th
Adult Participation Required: We require one adult to participate per child.
What to Wear/Bring: We recommend that participants wear comfortable athletic-style clothing and athletic shoes. Please bring a water bottle to class each week.
Stay Home When Sick: If your child is sick, we kindly ask that you keep them home. Participants exhibiting cold or flu-like symptoms will not be allowed to participate. Staff reserve the right to accept or decline participants based on their assessment and discretion of any apparent signs or symptoms of illness. Thank you for your understanding.
No Make-Up Classes or Refunds for Missed Classes: We do not offer make-ups, pro-rated reimbursements, or similar for missed days. Thank you for your understanding.
