"Participating athletes will be educated in: ◦ Flexibility exercises that enhance performance and help prevent injuries. ◦ Core exercises that develop strength and enhances performance. ◦ Speed and technique which will improve the performance of athletes overall. ◦ Light ploy metrics and agility drills to increase explosiveness. Each participant should bring: Facial mask and water, Track spike shoes, sunscreen, towel, and athletic bag for personal items. ◦ Sportsmanship to build character and team rapport. ◦ Healthy eating tips which will help in every aspect of life. The Catholic Central speed camp will cover all the basics of speed from drive phase to maximum velocity as well as maintaining athletes top end speed longer. The campers will be encouraged to reach for the stars and to have good sportsmanship which will enhance their overall experience and develop healthy behaviors."
