T.E.A.M. Rec gives Oak Brook teens a real voice in their community! This is the Oak Brook Park District’s Teen Advisory Committee, where participants collaborate directly with Park District staff to help shape programs, events, and facilities that truly reflect teen interests and needs. As Part One of the T.E.A.M. Rec experience, this program focuses on learning and development—giving teens an inside look at how Parks and Recreation professionals plan, evaluate, and improve programs and spaces. Throughout the program, teens will participate in three guided meetings with staff to brainstorm ideas, share feedback, and develop recommendations.
Members will also receive hands-on access to Park District facilities, allowing them to explore, evaluate, and provide informed input on how spaces can better serve teens. T.E.A.M. Rec empowers participants to think like Recreation professionals while building leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. This program is also a great opportunity to earn volunteer hours in the community!
