Description
Join us for an exciting and fun-filled Cardboard Boat Regatta at the Oak Brook Park District! Teams will build and race their own boats constructed entirely from cardboard and tape. Put your creativity and engineering skills to the test as you design a vessel that can float, race, and survive the competition.
Prizes will be awarded for:
- Best Design
- Fastest Boat
- Best Endurance
Whether you're here to compete or just to cheer on the racers, this event is sure to be a blast for the whole family. Don't miss out on the action!
Registration is to be completed by the team captain and will represent one boat entry. Each team will be allowed admission of up to 5 builders, with 1 or 2 of those team members designated as boat riders.
Additional fans and spectators will be charged $5 admission.
Oak Brook Park District Members will have free admission to the pool as they normally would.
ALL team members and paid spectators will then be invited to stay the day for Open Swim.
