About This Activity
Children's books contain some of the world's most amazing artwork! In this class, we will read one amazing book every session, and talk about what makes a universally good story. We will learn about myths, legends, fairytales, and the hero's journey. Students will dive into the realms of their imaginations to craft story and characters while exploring a wide variety of 2D and 3D materials, including drawing, collage, clay, assemblage, and book-making. These art explorations will culminate in an exhibition of student work for our families on the last day of class.
