About This Activity
The objective of this class is to improve reading comprehension through guided analysis and the practice of creative writing. A solid foundation of reading skills is imperative to academic success. This class aims to strengthen reading comprehension by analyzing the ways a writer conveys information, and then by putting the analysis into practice by writing creatively. Students will read short stories, discuss and analyze elements of fiction, and write short stories of their own.
