This class is for athletes who are interested in learning more about the game of basketball or are looking to improve their basic skill-set. It will feature a strong and targeted emphasis on building a solid foundation of basketball fundamentals through a variety of learning activities. Over the course of the class, players will be introduced to individual and team drills which encompass footwork, dribbling, passing, ball handling, and shooting. The drills and activities will be progressively taught and reviewed during the session. We will focus on individual basketball fundamentals as well as team dynamics. Sessions will include offensive and defensive concepts, and competitive play. Additionally, there will be focus on basketball health and conditioning, sportsmanship, teamwork, and having fun. Student-athletes are required to wear athletic clothes and shoes.
