Fun in the Sun campers will be able to visit new and exciting destinations daily. All campers will be traveling together by van. Fun in the Sun promotes a fun environment where campers are able to make new connections in an outside setting. Throughout the summer campers may have fun at the beach, go on a hike, go bowling, tour the Jelly Belly Factory, explore San Francisco and more. Some of the most popular venues may be repeated each week or every other week. A list of weekly destinations will be sent to parents in the Newsletter one week prior to the start of camp. This camp is not eligible for summer camp discounts. Counselor in Training may attend before and aftercare at no charge. C.I.T.s (rising seventh through ninth graders) will develop and practice skills in leadership, critical thinking, communication, conflict resolution, and organization by working directly with camp teachers. On a daily basis, C.I.T.s will be expected to: Build relationships with campers and serve as a positive role model Help camp teachers maintain a fun and safe environment Demonstrate core camp values of respect, honesty, and kindness Help facilitate and lead group activities in order to enhance their overall experience. C.I.T.s are not required to complete First Aid and CPR, however you may contact Project Heartbeat or other certified First Aid and CPR facilities, in order for your C.I.T to complete the course.
