About This Activity
The Academic Success one-week program gives your child a strong beginning to his or her sixth grade year. This one-week summer program allows rising sixth graders to get a head start on the academic year, while enjoying the creative and fun components of each session. Students will focus on their organization, math, and language arts skills. They really get a chance to preview the upcoming year, adjust to the demands of the sixth grade curriculum, and meet their new friends and teacher. Their camp day will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 3p.m. The academic portion of the day runs from 9:00 a.m. until 12 noon. The afternoons will feature a variety of activities designed to take the students out of the classroom setting. Campers will participate in fun and engaging afternoon activities. No student will feel like the summer, and all its pleasures, are passing them by.
