About This Activity
In this workshop we will cover the basics of coiled basketry, harvesting the pine needles, storage, and processing. Red and white pine needles are beautiful, strong and can be coiled then sewn together to make usable large baskets, hats, and adorable tiny baskets—almost like a bird nest. We will then cover the basics of coiled basketry, (which is a global human skill) and create a cute pine needle basket to take home. Storm makeup will be Nov. 22.
