Have you been saving your Fall Harvest with an eye on making jams or jellies for the upcoming holidays? This class will get you focused on getting that fruit into the jar, wrapped, and ready for the giving season. Participants will receive a “Preserving the Harvest” food preservation packet and will learn the latest and safest recipes, about equipment to insure safety, and how to check for properly sealed jars. Please bring a potholder with you to the class, so you will be able to take home a jar of what we prepared that evening! Materials fee $20 per person to the instructor at the start of class. Storm makeup will be Nov. 24.
