The Ojai Recreation Department’s Youth Basketball League is open to boys and girls in 2nd through 8th grade, welcoming players of all skill levels. The league provides a fun, team-oriented environment where youth can build basketball skills, learn sportsmanship, and enjoy competitive play.
*Register your child according to the grade they are currently in
Season Format:
- 8 weeks of regular season games, followed by playoffs and championships
- All teams will advance to Playoffs
- Top 2 teams in each division will advance to the championship game
Practice Details:
- Practice day/time will be determined by your team's volunteer coach based on their availability
- Practices held once a week
- Locations: Sarzotti Gym at 510 Park Rd. (Tues or Thurs) or Matilija Gymnasium at 703 El Paseo Rd. (Wed or Fri)
Games: All games will be played at Sarzotti Gymnasium.
Team Formation:
- Players will participate in evaluations before being placed on teams
- Teams will be created by league coordinators to ensure balanced play
- Volunteer coaches will be assigned after teams are formed
