About This Activity
Cast a line, enjoy the outdoors, and discover the excitement of fishing! Campers will have the opportunity to visit a variety of lakes in and around the Oklahoma City area, including Arcadia Lake, Lake Langston, Lake Hefner, and Guthrie Lake, to practice their fishing skills and experience different fishing environments. Led by veteran fisherman and Catholic school teacher Mr. Paul Ward, this camp is designed to help students develop their fishing techniques, learn more about the sport, and build confidence through hands-on experience. Whether students are experienced anglers or picking up a fishing rod for the first time, they will have opportunities to learn, practice, and enjoy time on the water. Beyond fishing, campers will develop patience, perseverance, and an appreciation for the outdoors while making memories and friendships along the way. It's a great opportunity to unplug, explore local fishing spots, and enjoy the rewards of time spent outdoors!
