About This Activity
Description
The National Park Service gives free National Park passes to all 4th graders and this class is for 4th graders and their families who want to take advantage of this great opportunity. Families will learn how to plan and pick a hike in one of our National Parks, how to pack a day pack with the essential supplies for safe hiking, how to dress for the weather, and how to have a fun and successful trip. They will leave with an Every Kid in a Park certificate for their free pass, which is an $80 value. The class is designed for 4th graders accompanied by an adult. Other family members welcome! Each family must have a 4th grader in attendance. Please just register the 4th grader.
