Discover the fun world of animation! Experiment in stop-motion, claymation, and 2d animation, with a wide variety of techniques to choose from, you don’t need to draw! Animate objects, puppets, paper, clay, or even yourself! Students will experiment with animation software including sound production, editing, and storytelling techniques. Experiment with sound effects, editing, and narrative storytelling while employing various techniques to bring your animation to life. Work with other campers to create an animated short to feature in the end of summer showcase. Drop-off is available at 1:45 pm. Please bring snacks and a water bottle. Camp will be held at Thurston Community Media, 440 Yauger Way, Suite C, Olympia. Drop-off available starting at 1:45 p.m. Lunchtime supervision is available for those signed up for both morning and afternoon media camps during the same week. Please bring snacks, lunch, and a water bottle.
Summer Camp Withdrawals/Transfers: Refunds for camp registrations are subject to a $25 cancellation fee per session/week. A full refund, excluding the cancellation fee, will be issued if cancellation notification is received at least 14 days before the camp session's first date. If withdrawal occurs within 2 to 14 days of the camp session's start, the cancellation fee will be 25% of the total camp fee. Withdrawals after 5:00 pm on the Friday before a camp week will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the total camp fee. No refunds will be given after the camp begins unless the satisfaction policy applies. Transfers are allowed at no cost, provided there is an available spot; however, campers transferring from a camp to a waiting list will be charged the appropriate fee.
