Description
Engage in the production of video segments for a news magazine program in Thurston Community Media’s television production studio. Conduct research, write news stories, and use professional video equipment for shooting and editing. Collaborate with local media and journalism professionals throughout the week. Drop-off available starting at 1:45 p.m. Lunchtime supervision is available for those signed up for both morning and afternoon media camps during the same week. Please bring snacks, lunch, and a water bottle. Staff-to-camper ratio is 1:5 Instructor: Thurston Community Media (TCM)
Camp will be held at Thurston Community Media, 440 Yauger Way, Suite C, Olympia. Drop-off available starting at 1:45 p.m. Lunchtime supervision is available for those signed up for both morning and afternoon media camps during the same week. Please bring snacks, lunch, and a water bottle.
Summer Camp Withdrawals/Transfers: Refunds for camp registrations are subject to a $25 cancellation fee per session/week. A full refund, excluding the cancellation fee, will be issued if cancellation notification is received at least 14 days before the camp session's first date. If withdrawal occurs within 2 to 14 days of the camp session's start, the cancellation fee will be 25% of the total camp fee. Withdrawals after 5:00 pm on the Friday before a camp week will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the total camp fee. No refunds will be given after the camp begins unless the satisfaction policy applies. Transfers are allowed at no cost, provided there is an available spot; however, campers transferring from a camp to a waiting list will be charged the appropriate fee.
