Get a hands-on look at short film production in this exciting movie-making crash course! You’ll work through the entire process of creating a short narrative film—from scripting and casting to shooting and editing. Learn how to use cameras, audio, lighting, and special effects along the way. By the end of the week, your team will have an original short film ready to be showcased at the end-of-summer event. Drop-off is available at 1:45pm. Lunchtime supervision is offered for campers enrolled in both morning and afternoon media camps. Please bring snacks, lunch, and a water bottle. Camp will be held at Thurston Community Media, 440 Yauger Way, Suite C, Olympia. Drop-off available starting at 1:45 p.m. Lunchtime supervision is available for those signed up for both morning and afternoon media camps during the same week. Please bring snacks, lunch, and a water bottle.
Summer Camp Withdrawals/Transfers: Refunds for camp registrations are subject to a $25 cancellation fee per session/week. A full refund, excluding the cancellation fee, will be issued if cancellation notification is received at least 14 days before the camp session's first date. If withdrawal occurs within 2 to 14 days of the camp session's start, the cancellation fee will be 25% of the total camp fee. Withdrawals after 5:00 pm on the Friday before a camp week will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the total camp fee. No refunds will be given after the camp begins unless the satisfaction policy applies. Transfers are allowed at no cost, provided there is an available spot; however, campers transferring from a camp to a waiting list will be charged the appropriate fee.
