About This Activity
Description
Ink drawings are strikingly beautiful. In this class you’ll learn to use dip pens, crow quill pens, inking brushes, felt tip pens and calligraphy pens to create striking high-contrast images. You’ll learn how to do feathering, hatching, cross-hatching, and more. The class will focus on the artists exploring classic ink drawing techniques and developing their own style with mark-making. Subjects will include flowers, landscapes, and birds. Supply list will print on registration receipt. Instructor: Ellen Miffitt
Supply list - Pen, Brush and Ink Drawing Paper - 11X14, Bristol or other smooth surface white sheet multimedia paper (70 pound to 100 weight). Usually the pad of paper will indicate use with pen and ink; INKS - black liquid ink with pen with nibs or Micron Ink Pen Set; Erasers. NOTE: Instructor will bring pen holders, nibs, ink, micron pens and other supplies if participants would rather not purchase materials.
