Embark on a dynamic two-week adventure immersing yourself in the art of filmmaking. This comprehensive camp guides students through the entire filmmaking process. Students will work through the process of a short narrative movie from scripting, to shooting and editing the final product. Week 1 Pre-production and Script Development: Dive into the foundations of filmmaking by exploring scriptwriting, casting, and the technical aspects of shooting. Gain hands-on experience with cameras, audio equipment, lighting, and special effects. Collaborate with your team to craft and develop the script, cast your film, and rehearse it, setting the stage for the creative journey ahead. Week 2 Filming and Editing: Build upon the skills acquired in Week 1, delving into advanced techniques in production and post-production for filmmaking. Further explore the intricacies of cameras, audio equipment, lighting, and special effects. Collaborate in teams to shoot and edit the scripts developed in Week 1, bringing your cinematic vision to life. By the end of this two-week camp, you will possess a comprehensive understanding of the filmmaking process. You will have successfully navigated the pre-production, production, and post-production stages, resulting in the creation of an original short film!
