Enhance monotypes by incorporating hand stamped elements, decorative papers and various other collage elements into your prints to create beautiful texture and depth. By printing onto lightweight papers, you will layer imagery onto substrate/base paper. No need to have had previous printmaking experience to enjoy exploring a combination of monotype and mixed media elements. . Instructor: Ellen Miffitt
Instructor brings: Plexiglass printing plates, printing ink, a variety of papers, adhesives, brushes,water dishes, ink, watercolor pencils, scissors, stamps, ink pads, and collage embellishments.Optional participant supplies: discarded watercolors or drawings, also scraps of paper such asjunk mail, magazine pages, photos, decorative papers, pattern tissue, wrapping papers, streetpapers, decorative paper bags, brown paper bags etc… things to embellish your 4 collages: lace,buttons, beads, leaves, nuts, twigs, shells, sand, coral, small stones.
