About This Activity
Description
Join us for a summer of fun on the water! Discover the wonders of Budd Inlet while mastering the basics of sailing and learning about our local ecosystems. From plankton monitoring to shark ecology, students will get to explore the wonders of Puget Sound. Sailors will get on the water each day in a sailboat, and explore STEAM topics with hands-on activities and citizen science opportunities. This class is great for both experienced and brand-new sailors a like. Sailors join an Instructor onboard a larger boat than our learn to sail classes and assist the Instructor in sailing. This class meets at Swantown Marina.
Please download information at right and bring to the first day of camp. *Olympia Community Sailing offers scholarships for any kid that is on Free and Reduced lunch at school.
Summer Camp Withdrawals/Transfers: Refunds for camp registrations are subject to a $25 cancellation fee per session/week. A full refund, excluding the cancellation fee, will be issued if cancellation notification is received at least 14 days before the camp session's first date. If withdrawal occurs within 2 to 14 days of the camp session's start, the cancellation fee will be 25% of the total camp fee. Withdrawals after 5:00 pm on the Friday before a camp week will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the total camp fee. No refunds will be given after the camp begins unless the satisfaction policy applies. Transfers are allowed at no cost, provided there is an available spot; however, campers transferring from a camp to a waiting list will be charged the appropriate fee.
