About This Activity

Join us for an online introduction to tap dancing, from the comfort of your own home! Tap is a fun way to wake up the rhythm in your body while getting some sneaky exercise at the same time. You don't even need tap shoes!* Just a good attitude, a computer, and some room in your house to dance on a hard floor. Classes start with exercises that will teach you tap dancing vocabulary and skills, then you'll put your new skills to the test in a short sequence for the second half of each class. *Leather-soled street shoes or smooth-soled dance shoes are recommended if you don't have taps. If you're wearing tap shoes, make sure you have a piece of plywood to put on a secure carpet to avoid slipping or damaging your floors while you dance. This class is over Zoom, and you will need a partner at home
