About This Activity
Experience the fun of starring in a movie. Students will learn the art of on-camera acting, improvisational acting, and script-writing while starring in a short, professional, and imaginative family movie. Developed by a Disney and Nickelodeon producer, the curriculum this summer focuses on finding your character’s motivation. In addition, the older OSCAR class will be given an opportunity to write, storyboard, and direct their own short movie. Family and friends are then invited to attend a VIP red carpet movie premiere at the Clarke Grand Theatre at SCERA on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 10 AM! Each camper receives unlimited premiere tickets and a link to a digital copy of their movies to download. Red Carpet Movie Premiere: July 11th at 10 AM Please bring a sack lunch each day. A healthy snack provided mid-morning each day. Students MUST be present on Friday, June 19th for filming.
