About This Activity
Learn pinch, slab, and coil methods of hand building with clay to create fun decorative and functional pieces. Students will learn to work with both air-dry clay and ceramic clay, and will explore a new theme each month. Take one class, or all of them! Each block is 4 weeks long, please see dates and themes below. Dates will go as follows: September: Autumn Theme Sept. 10 - Oct. 1 October: Wizarding Theme Oct. 8 - Nov. 5 (No class Oct. 15, Fall Break) November: Christmas Theme November 12 - Dec. 10 (No class Nov 26, Thanksgiving Break) January: Clay Jewelry Theme Jan 7. - Jan. 28 February: Animals Theme Feb. 4 - Feb. 25 March: Insects Theme Mar. 4 - Mar. 25 April: Plants & Flowers Theme April 1st - April 29 (No class April 8th, Spring Break)
