Unplug, explore, and experience the spirit of Overnight Camp at Camp Nissokone!
Set on more than 170 acres of forests, trails, and beautiful lakefront, YMCA Camp Nissokone gives campers the opportunity to experience outdoor adventure, build confidence, develop independence, and make friendships that can last a lifetime.
Campers live and play alongside their cabin group while experiencing a variety of age-appropriate activities throughout the week. From time on the lake to outdoor adventures, campfires, games, and classic camp traditions, every day brings opportunities to try something new.
Our caring YMCA counselors help create a welcoming community where campers can challenge themselves, celebrate accomplishments, encourage one another, and simply enjoy being a kid at camp.
Overnight Camp includes:
- Six nights of Overnight Camp
- Lodging with their cabin group and counselors
- Meals and snacks throughout the week
- A variety of age-appropriate camp activities and adventures
- Campfires, traditions, friendships, and plenty of summer fun!
Optional Add-Ons
Families may enhance their camper's week with optional specialty experiences, including:
- Paintball
- Ranch Camp
- Wakeboarding
- Camp Store Credits
Additional registration and fees may apply.

Registration Details
- Deposit: $100 per camper, per session — non-refundable
- Sibling Discount: Save 5% on each additional child
- Multi-Activity Discount: Save 5% on each additional activity
Plans change—we understand! Cancellation requests should be emailed to
camp@ymcadetroit.org. Your $100 deposit is non-refundable. For cancellations made April 1, 2027 or later, an additional $50 cancellation fee per camper, per session applies. Fees are refundable only in the case of illness or injury with a written note from a physician to YMCA Camping Services. In the case of homesickness, dismissal, voluntary withdrawal, late arrivals, or early departures, there will be no refund of fees. Cancellations received less than 7 days before the start of your session are not eligible for a refund or credit.
