Description
If you are looking for a great start into figure skating or hockey, start with the basics! The Learn to Skate Basic program offers professional instruction at many comprehensive levels using the United States Figure Skating guidelines and standards. If your child is new to skating, Basic Level 1 is a perfect choice! With a focus on getting your skater comfortable on the ice, USFS-qualified coaches introduce participants to fundamental skills, including sitting and standing up on the ice, marching forward, and snowplow stopping on two feet. *No class on 6/21/2025.
*Classes are 40 minutes of instruction with 20 minutes of supervised practice
*All skaters are required to register with the US Figure Skating Learn to Skate USA Program. Registrations are due at the first class date. The annual membership fee is $18 and you may register online at www.learntoskateusa.com
*Helmets and kneepads are highly recommended.
*Dress warm with hats, gloves, and jacket, as rink temperatures are like winter year-around.
*Skate rental is included in registration fee.
