Students will learn the entry-level skills needed by local employers in the construction industries for residential heat pump and solar panel installation, maintenance and repair. Students will train on state-of-the-art equipment to simulate working in the field. The training is in partnership with the Associated General Contractors of Maine (AGC). Successful completion of the program means that each graduate will be prepared for entry-level apprenticeship work for local contractors. Classes are held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00 – 8:00 PM and Tuesdays from 4:00 – 5:30 PM. An occasional Thursday evening may be scheduled to accommodate gues speakers and other activities.
