Description
Cheerleading offers any child the chance to get active and have some fun while cheering for their team! Our cheerleaders will build self-confidence and self-esteem while developing social skills and healthy relationships. They will learn the fundamentals of cheerleading which includes basic motions, jumps, cheers, and chants over our 8-week session.
Cheer will practice once a week and cheer at basketball games.
Practice will be held on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:00pm.
Cheerleaders will cheer for games on Saturdays from 9:00-11:15 am.
The price is $110.00 for YMCA members, and $150.00 for non-members for the 10-week session.
We practice & cheer at GPH YMCA Field House.
What Do I Need:Please have your child wear athletic clothes and closed toe shoes. You should also have them bring a water bottle. Please clearly label all items you send with your child.Spectators should bring a chair to use when watching the games or practices. Please do not bring food into the gym, and all liquids should be in a bottle that has a secure cap and seal.
Volunteer Opportunities:YMCA Sports are based on seven guiding principles: everyone plays, safety first, fair play, positive competition, sports for all, sports for fun, and family involvement. Our leagues are supported by parent volunteers who are engaged as coaches and fans.
