Afterschool Enrichment Program. Youth will spend the first hour of program in Power Hour- A program for Club members that helps students achieve Academic Success by providing homework help, tutoring and high-yield learning activities and by encouraging members to become self-directed learners. Welcome new Club members and families! The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Antelope Valley is the premier youth agency providing great programs and activities to all our local youth. As a member of the Club you will enjoy all the rights and privileges that come with membership, including our great Games room, Computer Lab and trained, professional staff that will provide high-quality programs that closely align with the developmental needs of youth. We ask all of our parents/guardians to sign all the membership forms and read the Parent Handbook to fully understand the club expectations. This can be found by visiting avbgc.org, or requesting one from Club Staff. Enrollment fees are due at time of enrollment or re-enrollment ($25.00 per year, pro-rating for yearly dues is not available). At time of enrollment we need proof of residence and income. These documents will need to be uploaded to your ActiveWorks account PRIOR to your child attending the Club. Proof of Residence can be anything with your name and current address on it. Proof of income can be a Notice of Action, benefits letter, or paystub (We do not accept EBT cards or food stamps as proof of income). If you receive any type of aid, be sure to fill out forms completely and submit copies and talk to staff about how we may be able to assist with yearly membership costs to ensure your child’s participation in our programs. Be sure to check out all the nationally recognized and specialized programs that offer members help with homework, technology skills, personal growth and community spirit.
