About This Activity
AVALANCHE COURSE Train. Prepare. Get Certified. An incredible opportunity for older students interested in backcountry safety, outdoor recreation, or future careers in Alaska's winter industries. AGES 14+ | MAXIMUM 9 STUDENTS | $750 Three full training days, one day per week Approximately 8 hours each training day (total 24 hours over the 3 weeks/days) Students receive training and certification in: ✓ Avalanche Awareness ✓ Avalanche Rescue ✓ Cold Weather CPR Training combines classroom instruction and hands-on, on-hill experience. $750 includes all three certifications PLUS instructor shadow time. Space is extremely limited. Dates are weather/condition dependent and will most likely take place between Winter Break and Spring Break. Registration is non-refundable after October 30th.
