About This Activity
Calling all aspiring actors and theater kids! Students will explore the world of theater through interactive games and activities focused on basic theater vocabulary, pantomime, character development, and improvisation. Through theater games and creative exercises, students will build confidence, practice thinking on their feet, and develop their performance skills while learning the fundamentals of acting. Please note: This class meets from 3:30–4:30 PM at PVIS, giving students coming from elementary schools additional time to travel to PVIS before class begins. Ms. Palmer has taught dance and directed Musical Theater at PVIS for over 20 years. She loves sharing her passion for theater and the arts and seeing her students grow as performers. This class gives elementary students a fun introduction to theater at PVIS and a chance to learn from the teacher who leads its Musical Theater program.
