Description
Love to work with your hands and create functional art? Join us for a camp to learn the basics of metalsmithing! Campers will learn elements and principles of design and how it can be translated to metal, proper sawing techniques, filing, sanding, and wire rapping. Campers will have many opportunities to create jewelry pieces as well as small metal sculptures to take home. There will be an additional $30 supply fee given to the instructor at the start of camp.Level of Instruction: Beginner
Skills Learned: Wire wrapping, sawing, filing, sanding, hammering, piercing, polishing
Students should bring a nut-free snack and water bottle each day.
If your child is enrolled for both a morning activity (9:00am-12:00pm) and an afternoon activity (1:00pm-4:00pm) during the same week they are eligible to stay for Lunch Bunch (free supervised lunch hour from 12:00pm-1:00pm).
