Description
Dungeons and Dragons is a table-top role-playing game (TTRPG) full of collaborative storytelling. This camp will help you learn more about D&D from how to play to building a cool character for your next campaign. We will paint mini figures before playing a one-shot campaign with your fellow camp adventurers! There will be an additional $10 supply fee given to the instructor at the start of camp.Level of Instruction: Beginner to Intermediate
Skills Learned: Learn interactive roleplaying game systems and how to tell stories in a team setting. Build communication skills and problem-solve through improv. Creating a D&D character helps you explore character traits and better understand your own identity and self-awareness. Social emotional skills like empathy, decision-making, and social awareness are explored when playing TTRPGs.
Supplies Needed: Water bottle, nut-free snack, unpainted mini figures if you have them.
Students should bring a nut-free snack and water bottle each day.
If your child is enrolled for both a morning activity (9:00am-12:00pm) and an afternoon activity (1:00pm-4:00pm) during the same week they are eligible to stay for Lunch Bunch (free supervised lunch hour from 12:00pm-1:00pm).
