About This Activity
Description
Enter the world of prosthetic application, painting, and injury makeup. Participants will be able to work with Parker Theater Academy on various types of makeup materials, learning to perform different effects. Skills learned by the end of the week will consist of creating wounds (bullet holes, knife wounds, bruises), bald cap application, applying crepe hair, and finally, painting and applying prosthetics. Camp will conclude with a presentation Friday at 11:00 a.m.Supplies Needed: A prosthetic application of your choice, a bald cap, prosthetic adhesive, nose and scar wax, and a bruise and blisters paint wheel. Prosthetic materials and bald caps can be purchased online at mostlydead.com, or locally at Reinke Brothers prop store in Littleton, Colorado. Additional supplies will be provided by instructor. Water bottle and healthy snacks.
Students should bring a nut-free snack and water bottle each day.
If your child is enrolled for both a morning activity (9:00am-12:00pm) and an afternoon activity (1:00pm-4:00pm) during the same week they are eligible to stay for Lunch Bunch (free supervised lunch hour from 12:00pm-1:00pm).
