Description
Chess camp is all about having fun! We create an environment where kids can learn the basics of chess and bond with their peers. Campers will play games and earn fun prizes along the way, while building abilities beyond the board by learning how to problem solve, think critically, and engage in sportsmanship. Camp will end with a chess tournament to showcase new chess-skills!Level of Instruction: Beginner/Intermediate
Skills Learned: Problem solving, Sportsmanship, Strategic Thinking, Patience
Supplies Needed: Snack and water bottle.
Students should bring a nut-free snack and water bottle each day.
If your child is enrolled for both a morning activity (9:00am-12:00pm) and an afternoon activity (1:00pm-4:00pm) during the same week they are eligible to stay for Lunch Bunch (free supervised lunch hour from 12:00pm-1:00pm).
