Explore Archery is an innovative educational program focused on introducing beginners of all ages and abilities to the lifelong sport of Archery. Students earn achievement awards through active participation in individual and team-building activities. The Focus is Safety First and Fun!Level of Instruction: Beginner - Archery is a sport that is open to everyone; it is inclusive to all ages, genders, and abilities.
Skills/Fundamentals Learned:• Advance your shooting technique• Improve mental focus• Increase self-confidence• Enhance team building skills
Equipment Needs:
- Indoor sessions: Recurve only
- Equipment provided if needed
*A $5 fee will be collected each session to cover broken equipment needs. This will be paid directly to the instructor.
Contractor/Instructor: Archery class is taught by Coach Chris Dorow
Chris has been teaching/coaching Archery for the past 20 years. Coach Chris is also part of multiple local JOAD (Junior Olympic Archery Development) programs and was a certified Shooting Sports Leader in Douglas County 4-H. He has 4 children all participating in shooting sports activities and his son is a six-time JOAD State Champion & 2x National Champion. Coach Chris travels internationally with the US Archery Team. One of Coach Chris’ athletes won Gold at the Tokyo Paralympic Games.
A lifelong hunter and competitive shooter, Coach Chris draws upon his international experiences to teach shooting skills as well as mental focus and discipline strategies that are often as useful off the range as they are in archery competitions.

All equipment is provided; however, students may bring their own upon inspection by the instructor.Wear athletic clothes, athletic shoes and bring water. Clothing should not be loose, for safety purposes.
