About This Activity
Description
Designed as an early introduction to coding, this camp teaches aspiring game designers and programmers how to code with Scratch, a dynamic drag and drop coding platform created at MIT. Campers will learn how to build interactive games and animate fun stories using a visual coding environment. No prior coding experience is required. Chromebooks will be provided by Silicon STEM Academy.Supplies Needed: Nut-free snack and water bottle.
Students should bring a nut-free snack and water bottle each day.
If your child is enrolled for both a morning activity (9:00am-12:00pm) and an afternoon activity (1:00pm-4:00pm) during the same week they are eligible to stay for Lunch Bunch (free supervised lunch hour from 12:00pm-1:00pm).
