Description
Yoga comes to life in these fun and creative parent/caregiver participation classes designed to stimulate a young child's growing curiosity. Playful yoga poses, animated breathing exercises and imaginative relaxation techniques, teach toddlers and young children about their growing bodies. Sprinkled with music, picture books and age-appropriate props, we'll spark the child's inner yogi while enhancing language development, motor coordination, and play skills.
Classes are an equal balance between active and passive postures. In this family yoga class, adults and little yogis gather together to share in the fun and relaxation of yoga. We'll explore practices together that will help build strong family and caretaker connections.
This class is for children ages 24 months to 5 years and their accompanying adults. Babies (under 12 months) and kids over age 6 may attend class free of charge with an enrolled sibling.
Please bring your own yoga mat(s) for your family if possible. Adults and children should wear comfortable, stretchy clothes. No shoes or socks for class please.
If you don't have a yoga mat, you may borrow one from the instructor for a $1 rental fee.
