About This Activity
Utilizing full-size goals and size 5 soccer balls per USSF standards, the Goal-Scoring/Finishing and Goalkeeper Camp is specifically designed for any player who wants to hone, refine and enhance their scoring ability in and around the goal, regardless of position. Players will focus on aspects of goal-scoring, including, but not limited to, ball striking, timing and proficiency of finishing from flank service, set pieces and close-ranged finishing. Players that are defenders on their respective teams can also attend and will be put into situations to help develop their individual techniques and decision-making. Goalkeepers will be provided with a wide range of match-related scenarios to enhance their decision-making and refine their shot-stopping abilities, ability to handle crosses and flank play and deal with set pieces. Goalkeepers will be specifically trained by those with experience and expertise in the position and receive real-time coaching within each activity. Campers will be provided a complimentary general admission ticket to attend a Peoria City game this summer.
