Through the use of icon/block-based coding blocks, our students not only craft a more immersive gaming world but also foster their coding literacy by comprehending and interpreting these blocks, setting free the bounds of their creativity. No prior experience necessary! Late Spring Curriculum : Introduction to Animation Adventures with Scratch Jr Students will be creating stories using Scratch. Scratch (scratch.mit.edu) is a wonderful tool for teaching coding in a fun way! Scratch is a programming language and an online community where children can program and share interactive media such as stories, games, and animation with people from all over the world. As children create with Scratch, they learn to think creatively, work collaboratively, and reason systematically. Scratch is designed and maintained by the Lifelong Kindergarten group at the MIT Media Lab.
