About This Activity

At Mission Moonbase Artemis, participants will work together to program robots that will help us establish humanity’s first base on the moon, Moonbase Artemis! Faced with daily challenges, campers will develop coding and robotics skills as we work together to program Botley and Dash coding bots and learn about space exploration. This camp is inspired by NASA’s Engineering Design Process, and we will look to NASA’s current mission to build Moonbase Artemis as a point of context and learning for our daily activities. Alongside Teacher Danita Knight-Paulis and Teacher Ezra Burstein, Campers will learn how to program their bots to navigate a maze, move materials and use the Engineering Design process to solve other fun problems. This camp is great for any young learner with an interest in space exploration, robotics, and coding and for anyone looking to develop the critical thinking and problem solving skills necessary for young minds in STEM. No prior coding experience is required.
