About This Activity
Join local graphic novel artist Shawn Alleyne of Pyroglyphics Studios and English teacher Hannah Winkelman for this week-long camp, perfect for the graphic novel or comic book lover in your home! Campers will conceptualize and create their own comic book characters, create their own universe, identify secondary characters and villains, develop a plot, and illustrate their story. Camp culminates with the campers finalizing the beginning pages of their book, which will be printed & bound for them to keep! For kids who have done this camp before, a new character can be created or the characters from previous summers can be used to create new stories. All supplies (pens, rulers, etc.) are included in the camp fee and will be taken home by the campers! Please note: this camp is now a full-day and is designed for one-on-one support, and has limited spots! If you would like your child's character finalized by Shawn and printed as a poster, there is an option to pay below.
