No ice? No worries! Join Emma in learning all about the foundations, basics, and history of ice skating! We will begin our journey by learning about the background of ice skating and discover some famous skaters. We will learn the different disciplines of ice skating... Did you know synchronized skating is a type of skating with 16 (or more!) skaters on the ice at one time?! Together students will stretch, warm up, and learn how to jump, spin, and more - all off ice! Be ready to jump, spin, glide and have fun while we learn all about ice skating. Students will spend the last couple sessions choreographing a routine. As an ice skater and synchronized skating coach, Emma has spent a lot of time practicing and teaching off ice. She cannot wait to share her knowledge and stories about skating on a team and participating on Team USA! Emma is an alumni of TPS and currently teaches third grade. (Please note: Students will need a hard [slippery] floor, a pair of socks, and space to move. There are no sessions on Jan 18 & Feb 15.)
